This website is the official website of the British Lion Dance Team. The website is designed to tell you all you need to know
about the upcoming World Lion Dance Championships.
In July 2008 a British team will be going to Genting Highlands, located in the heart of Malaysia to compete against the
globes top teams in the World Lion Dance Championships.
The Championships will be filled with the distinctive drumming and the dancers with their colourful costumes dancing aloft
8ft poles performing jaw dropping stunts to gain top marks from the judges.
The event is sanctioned by the International Dragon & Lion Dance Federation who are headquartered in Beijing, China.
The British team, which is made up of a diversity of races and ages is based at Oriental City Shopping Centre in Brent.
The team is seeking to raise a target of £20,000 to send a team of 20 Athletes to compete and represent Britain.
